Welcome to the Neutron Scattering and Nanoscale Materials Lab!

Our lab has interest in various areas such as synthesis of nanomaterials, fabrication of self-assembled superlattices, fuel cells and supercapacitors, interaction between cell membrane and proteins, and so on. We especially focus on the synthesis of isotropic/anisotropic gold nanoparticles, functionalized single-walled carbon nanotubes, and the superlattices of their combinations. The structure of these materials can be investigated by small-angle neutron/X-ray scattering (SANS/SAXS), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and the dynamics of cell membrane can be investigated by neutron spin-echo spectroscopy.
